Jon Goulder

Fruit bowl (Design Discovery Award 2003)

Born in Bowral NSW Jon Goulder is a 4th generation upholsterer who graduated in 1999 from ANU with a Diploma of Art, Craft & Design. He then established a studio in Gerringong, NSW where he prototyped and refined his original designs while teaching at UTS.

Jon was the inaugural winner of the Bombay Sapphire Design Discovery Award in 2003.
In 2004 he won the Hobart Art Prize and People's Choice Award and his work is now held by the Powerhouse Museum and the Hobart Museum and Art Gallery. Today he lives with his family in Western Australia and works from Perth’s Midland Atelier.
